一次组会上列的。
第一个境界叫做Can do work:
Phase 1: Can finish the assigned task
Stage 1.1: finish a clearly identified implementation work
Stage 1.2: find solution for a well-defined problem
Phase 2: identify a problem, and finish it under supervision
Stage 2.0: doing analysis and evaluation on an existing technology
Stage 2.1: applying an existing technology into other applications
Stage 2.2: Combining two or more existing technologies
Stage 2.3: Create a new solution for an existing problem
Phase 3: perform research independently
Finish the flow of “identify problem -> find solution -> work it out with e
xperimental support” independently
第二个境界叫做Can do good work
Phase 4: Identify a problem
Stage 4.1: A meaningful problem
Stage 4.2: An impactful problem
Phase 5: Perform research
Stage 5.1: New solution for an existing problem
Stage 5.2: Find solutions for a new problem
Stage 5.3: Find new solution designated to a new problem
第三个境界叫做Has research vision
(You don't have to promote to the highest level of "can do good work" before
having a research vision)
Stage 6.1: Know how to improve the current work
Outcome: a journal paper
Stage 6.2: Know what to do after the current work
Outcome: a complete Ph.D. publication record
Stage 6.3: Know what to do in next three years
Outcome: a research proposal
To prove it: get your proposal funded!
